I greet you in the name of Jesus the Christ and welcome you to our ever-evolving website.

As a church that was establish in 1721 we value our history, celebrate the community we are today, and anticipate the work God will call us to in the future.

As we approach the congregation’s 300-year Anniversary, we are actively exploring who we are as the Church today, where God is calling us to be, and how we may best reach out to our neighbors.  One thing we always encourage, that as an Open and Affirming Church, wherever you are on life’s faith journey, you are welcome here.

When you come visit us in the quaint Village of North Stonington, you will find our congregation “small but mighty” as I like to say.  Our members and friends are all dedicated volunteers in the town as well as with the church in a multitude of ways.

We have become a bit famous for our freshly-baked pies created each week during the summer.  They are sold at Farmer’s Markets and right here from our kitchen.  All are welcome to our tasty monthly dinners where special tables are set to help families feel at home.

Church School and Youth programs continue throughout the year.  Our young people join together with youth from the Ledyard Congregational Church – led by dedicated advisors who encourage them to stretch and grow.  In the summer of 2015 we send a combined group of youth and adults to serve in Maryland with GROUP missions.

We have diverse Music Program with a Senior Choir, a Youth Choir, and a Handbell Choir.  All our choirs enjoy taking part in festivals and always come back with new ideas and great enthusiasm which they share in the  ministry of music.

In worship we celebrate, mourn, laugh, praise, ponder, and simply support one another as we seek to serve God.  We open the scriptures and seriously consider the questions and challenges they offer our daily lives.

All ages take part in worship leadership: from lighting candles, to leading prayers, to singing, ringing, reading and even preaching!  We enjoy delving more deeply into how the scriptures can teach us and help us live our lives.

Great creativity goes into helping us be a vibrant place for ministry.  We hope you feel welcome and at home here, whether just passing through or creating roots of your own.
